Marcus Elliott

Marcus has been playing the guitar since the age of 5 and performing on stage since the age of 12. He is self taught on every instrument he plays. Marcus has participated in the Fredericksburg Concert Band, VCU Peppas, VBODA All District Symphonic Band, Manchester High School Symphonic Band, Marching Band, and Show Choir Band, and the Central Virginia Wind Symphony. He has worked with high school students during summer marching band camps and received the John Philip Sousa Award which recognized him as the most outstanding student and player. Marcus plays guitar, bass, percussion, piano, mandolin, woodwind, and brass instruments. He enjoys mixing, producing, arranging, and writing music for bands and artists as well. He not only has a passion for music but also for the Marine Corps, as he served in the United States Marine Corps as an 0311 Infantry Marine. Marcus views teaching music much like his former band director who always said, “I don’t teach music, I teach life through music.”
